It has been 35 years since Jane and Don Neville opened their first fine- art gallery in Evanston in December of 1974. Since then, we also spent 10 years in Chicago's prestigious River North art district where our focus was original contemporary fine art and prints that we showcased with monthly Friday evening art openings that generally featured the work of one of our special artists from around the world.
With the River North's Brunswick Building fire, however, it was time to leave the city and head north to our new Libertyville gallery in 1994. In this gallery we feature and sell mostly antique prints dating from the 1700s and a few carefully selected paintings.
In 1974 our Evanston clients "pushed" us into what has become our main focus to this day - high-quality conservation and museum framing. Art consultations with corporations were an early outgrowth of our gallery activities. And, added to the above-mentioned services, Don has continued his personal property appraisal business. Finally, as on-line auctions took on mega-proportions we expanded into eBay services to further support our clients' needs.
