This category has given us much pleasure over the years. We are very proud of the “before” and “after” work that Neville-Sargent has done in restoring both paintings and frames. There is something satisfying about making a lovely painting with a slash or chipped-off paint look vibrant again, especially if a good cleaning is added to the old work.

First, we determine what needs to be done, that might include-- cleaning, repairs of cracks, slashes, peeling, re-lining, or just re-varnishing. We estimate the cost and actual work to be done. And, sometimes the cost can be high, but we have found that the end result and satisfaction with the restoration is well worth the price, even if it is not the greatest work or art, but is appreciated for sentimental value only. We use the same method to evaluate frame restoration.
